I just tried to get into the cdf lab and was turned away by three guards
who said Bahen was closed for x-rays. Was there a notice about this? I
must have missed it.

I was at Einstiens tonight, and there was rumour of a radioactive
accident on the 7th floor.

I went back to BA shortly after drinking, and went to the 7th floor out
of curioisity and the entrances from the elevators were closed off with
a rope on which was attached a sign with the radioactive symbol on it.

It's interesting because if they were doing x-raying there would have
been advance notice like last time. I can't really think of any
situation would require emergency x-raying of a building.

Some idiot engineer probably spilled plutonium.

I sent an email to somebody at UofT Environmental Health & Safety this
afternoon and just received his reply. He said that industrial radiography
was indeed performed in Bahen from midnight to 4:00am last night. He also
said that there are no liquid radioisotopes in Bahen, so the rumors about
some sort of spill are false.

I figured as much. To my knowledge there are only a few buildings on
campus equipped with facilities for that sort of thing.

Still, a little notice would've been nice.
