If you haven't heard it from other sources, the United Steelworkers, Local
1998, representing the University's staff-appointed administrative and
technical staff, are in a legal strike position effective 12:01 on Monday
September 12 which is the first day of classes.

Negotiations between the University and the union broke down early on
September 11.

Update:
At 5 am this morning (Sept. 12) Steelworkers Local 1998, University of
Toronto Staff-Appointed Unit, reached a tentative agreement with the
University of Toronto.
