POSITION SUMMARY – Consultant

Did you like CS but just can’t picture yourself programming all your
life? Ever wonder what a ‘Consultant’ role does? What about your
courses? How did you find CSC148 – did you enjoy building your
programming skills? Want to see why you are taking CSC207 or CSC343? Did
you take CSC340 / CSC407 and now want to see it applied to real life?
What about designing user interfaces in CSC318, is that something you
would like to pursue? Well if you have any of these courses and now
would like to see how they transfer into a real life consulting position
then Camilion is the place for you. As a Consultant you will play 2
major roles at Camilion, an Application Author, and Interface Analyst.

The candidate will gain valuable industry experience:
•building applications using Websphere and J2EE architecture
•using version control and bug tracking systems
•managing large collections of data within Oracle
•working on Financial Services and Insurance project teams consisting of
internal and client staff
•developing and configuring our proprietary web based applications,
ProductAuthority™ and AuthorityUnderwriter™, an industry leading
insurance product configurator

Key Accountabilities:
•Review and comprehend business requirements documents, use cases and
project designs
•Perform estimation, analysis and design of business processes
•Update ERD’s and relational database documentation
•Analysis of client information standards and formats, mapping data
structures to ProductAuthority™, AuthorityUnderwriter™
•Update business process documentation
•Build, unit test , system test, performance tune and debug business
process applications using ProductAuthority™, AuthorityUnderwriter™,
•Performance benchmarking of business process applications using JMeter™.
•Develop business and system reports
•Support the development of systems interfaces using Java, XSLT, XSL
•Support function, integration and scalability testing
•Provide (lead author) input to R&D Product enhancement requests and
customer change requests
•Provide project team with status, risk, and scope issues, using issue
tracking systems

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
•Someone who:
-has experience with some of: SQL, Java. JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML,
SOA, Websphere, PL/SQL, RMI, JMS, DB2, XSLT, CSS, LoadRunner, JSP,
Servlets, JDBC, Oracle, Unix/Linux
-enjoys going out for team lunches at great all you can eat restaurants
-has excellent presentation and documentation skills
-can be an effective communicator
-has mad foosball skills
-has demonstrated problem solving skills
-loves eating cake
-works independently or as a member of a team
-enjoys flexible work hours
-is detail oriented and is flexible and adaptable to change
-likes getting paid very well

Our R&D department has the following open positions to fill as soon as

J2EE Developer:
The J2EE Software Developer is responsible for the development and
testing of Camilion's software. Complete application coding, unit test
and integration test tasks to departmental standards within necessary
timescale. Conduct maintenance coding and debugging of Camilion products.

Applications Developer (Industry Solutions):
The Application Developer is responsible for developing and configuring
web-based applications using Camilion's ProductAuthority(tm),
AuthorityUnderwriter(tm), and other industry standard development tools
and practices.
